pulling into a crowded anchorage and forgetting to pull dinghy alongside while setting anchor,tying painter line round prop shaft and stalling motor.

Not mine, but some friends' mishap. They moored their boat to a buoy, went in the dinghy to the port, tied up at dock and went to have dinner. When they were back, they found the dinghy hanging. Lines too short + high tide...
