Do Boats Have 'Souls' ?

Now let me start by saying I am not superstitious in the slightest. But I wear earplugs in case I hear a rooster at night. When I see an ambulance I pinch my nose until I see a brown dog. I will never light 3 cigarettes with the same match (2 or 4 is OK though). I won't light candles if there are any mirrors around in case I see myself in one by candle light. I won't say goodbye to a friend if there is a bridge in sight and I will never cut my nails on a Friday. Being superstitious is absurd and irrational which is why I could never be superstitious.

wooden boats have souls, tallships have souls. some others do-- depends on the boat.
boats can have ghosts. iknew 2 that did-- someone died by own hand in side.

Then you should have told her 'it was tradition' like Christmas trees, turkey's and pumpkins.
