Point taken, and I apologize. I received an instant response on another forum, but I still took the trouble to send the long explanation to CF readers, so they can do it themselves in future.
It was the replies to that which got my goat this time. Maybe I’m getting too thin skinned in my old age.
By the way, I'm going to replace all the bearings, because many in the other races are showing signs of wear. That's a total of about 120 balls = $130.
Anyone with a furler this old, 30 years, might do well the investigate.
