Covering Micron with West PCA Gold?

Given the current price of Micron Extra, I am wondering if I can cover/touch up my existing coat of Micron Extra with West Marine's co-polymer, PCA Gold.I don't want to strip my existing layer of Micron, but have seen some decent reviews of PCA Gold and might consider using it if it can be applied directly. Has anyone done that?
