Clearing in and out of Mexico (eastern side)

I have read it is becoming increasingly more difficult (time and money) to clear in and out of Mexico.

Can someone shed some light on what is really going on.

Thanks
Dennis

Helpful links, in no particular order:

Check in Process - https://sandiegomarine.com/cruising-...rts-of-mexico/

Helpful Brochure - https://sandiegomarine.com/wp-conten...co_2023-v3.pdf

Sport Fishing / Nautical Tourism - https://www.gob.mx/inm/acciones-y-pr...rismo-nautico/

A nice list - https://sandiegomarine.com/cruising-...cense-process/

Instructions for passenger list - https://www.inm.gob.mx/gobmx/word/in...ssenger-lists/

Ministry of Interior Porthole - https://www.inm.gob.mx/spublic/portal/inmex.html

Read on FMM, Passenger List, Passports, TIP, Fishing License, and you should be set.

Re: Clearing in and out of Mexico (eastern side)

On the west coast clearing in in Ensenada, or with the Baja Ha-Ha is trivial.. no issues...

SAVE FOR MASSIVE PROBLEMS if you have a boat that was cleared previously.. but did not have its Temporary Import Permit (TIP) cancelled.

This is a very big issue if the TIP was the older style TIP, as some of the newer TIP's can be 'arranged' to be cancelled.

I would even suggest a new item to check when buying a boat.. Making sure all temporary import permits are cancelled...

Where are you planning on checking in?
