Charts/Cruising Guides recommendedation

I've been looking at Chart and Cruising book to buy. Reading reviews on line there are numerous reviews pro and negative for Cruising Guide/ Charts for Ft Lauderdale to Keys. Can any give me their recommendations

IMHO, by far the best chart/cruising guide is an electronic chart with ActiveCaptain included. The ActiveCaptain data is more useful than any guide for the area you are talking about. Garmin BlueCharts for the iPad is the one we use. I started out also using the Waterway Guide paper book, but found it to be nearly useless.
