Re: Baboon butt.

I agree with baby wipes...they make a miserable time much more tolerable. No baboon butt, no shaffed balls. I used to hate being on my boat on days I could not get into the water for a bath. But now it fun again.

Re: Baboon butt.

I recommend a warm shower and a soothing massage by a pretty Filipino as the perfect ending to a Salticrack day.

Re: Baboon butt.

salticrack,

It is the hair follicles that are unhappy.

Wipe with isopropyl alcohol, or gasocol, sold up here. Let dry. Try to keep salty water and moistness away, might mean sailing nude, but lavalava-ing when around people.

Dry will help, but when you can achieve that. Baby powder is cheap and helpful.

There are lawsuits going on now inre to talcum powder causing cancer.

I'm thinking I don't want to use that stuff on my butt.....or anyplace else for that matter.

Re: Baboon butt.

I am not aware of talcum powder lawsuits, but just plain cornstarch can sometimes be soothing. I can think of many adults who had powdered bottoms as babies who have not contracted any cancer, so not sure what it is with the post above. A citation would help.

"Boat butt" is actually pretty unpleasant, and so far as I know, dryness is the only cure.
Salti's kayaking is exacerbating the problem. He will benefit from a fresh water rinse of the affected area, followed by drying out with the sun on it may help. He doesn't want them to get infected, and sea water contains many bacteria, and a staph infection of the follicles and on his skin is possible.

Weavis and other doctors will know more about it than I do. Clean and dry seems to work, by experience.

Ann

Jury Awards $72 Million In Johnson & Johnson Talcum Powder Cancer Lawsuit....

There's lots more on the net....FWIW.

I'm of the school of why press to test. Personally I will keep my unsalted crack dry without Talc.... given even the remote possibility that talcum powder will give me bum cancer. ewe

Best stuff since slice bread nothing like wearing heavy clothing in south Louisiana and welding for twelve hour and not have butt paste on hand.http://www.buttpaste.com/

Re: Baboon butt.

Well unless Salticrak has ovaries and female genitalia, there is no reason to fear the talcum powder on his rear end...

I also suspect that it was not the talcum powder per se but some ingredients in it that was a problem.

Life eh?
