St Vincent Anchorage

Has anyone anchored overnight in Buccamet Bay? Safety problems?

I understand there is no dock or way to dinghy up to the resort.

Thanks for your response.

Re: St Vincent Anchorage

There were no concerns in the Blue Lagoon, the last time I anchored there. It has been, however, a few years.

My concern is in Buccamet Bay, not Blue Lagoon

Hey Sampat,
Apparently you haven’t been roaming the Islands or haven’t noticed that the problems in one anchorage or another change with the tide. One week the derelicts are in one place and enforcement increases, a few are slapped on the wrist only to move to the next. With all due respect to Dockhead even the Blue Lagoon has had it’s moments.

Re: St Vincent Anchorage

I have not heard of any problem at Buccament Bay but I never see anyone anchor there for the night either. Just north is Petit Byahaut where a restaurant had installed three moorings many years ago. The business closed. The bay is small but there often are a few boats anchored there for the night.

In the past I have many times moored overnight at Young Island Cut. The last time, two years ago, the boat next to us was visited and money stolen while the crew and we were having diner celebrating a birthday on a third boat. I have not returned since.
