Does anyone know what kind of condition (shoaling/depth) the St. Lucie, FL inlet is in right now? I've read that it's kind of iffy to get through. I'm trying to decide whether to go outside from St. Lucie to Lake Worth or to head out from Ft. Pierce (a much longer trip).

We went through a couple of months ago and saw 12' min depths up to the crossroads. Kind of shallow after crossing ICW into river, think I remember seeing 5'.
Sounds like a place to favor high tides when going through. We draw 5'. Otherwise it wasn't too hard to get through? We went by there last spring coming out of the Okeechobee Waterwater. Lots of markers everywhere.
I went through in early January. It seemed fairly straight forward. I think 7 feet was the shallowest I saw, but am not sure what tide that was at. It's well marked.
