Rigger in the Annapolis Area

Can a nyone recommend a good rigger who is close enough to Annapolis to take a job there? We need to replace a number of elements of our standing rigging.

Annapolis Rigging (also in Bert Jabin's yard) is very good. Talk with Jay.

Also at Jabin's is "True North Yachting" who did great work with the complete refit of my boat after Hurricane Irma. That included the rigging work. I can recommend them highly. (https://truenorthyachting.com)

Bert Jabin yard in Annapolis is a premier yard. If the rigger has a shop in the yard, it is safe to assume they are good.

Re: Rigger in the Annapolis Area

Annapolis Rigging and The Rigging Co are both recommended - both are based at Jabins. I've used The Rigging Co (ask for Aaron).

Snore - I'm afraid that I'm going to have to disagree with you about riggers in Jabin's yard. There's one there that I'll never use again (and neither will several other owners that I know).

I believe that The Rigging Company is not actually in Jabin's yard. I believe that it's a block before the entrance to Jabin's (to the left while heading down Edgewater Dr.). They're good riggers, too.

You are correct they are a block prior to the main entrance, but that's the entrance to H dock. All of the buildings there are also owned by Jabins.

Re: Rigger in the Annapolis Area

Shimari - Thanks, that's good to know. I have The Rigging Company helping me with a new inner forestay. I see them when I turn in to see Peter Kennedy, who helps me with electrical things.

Who owns what down there has long been a mystery to me.

Re: Rigger in the Annapolis Area

Peter is excellent!

They just built a new building back there for offices. I expect some new companies to be moving in soon (if they haven’t already).
