Cruise in Dominican Republic

My husband is an experienced sailor from Vancouver Island Canada and we are visiting the Dominican Republic in October 2021. We would love to charter a sailboat for a few days with a captain that knows the waters of this area. Our sailboat has recently gone through Panama and now is in Belize but needs some work before we take it out.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Julie
