Worthwhile?
I'm en
route from
Finland to the UK and am getting out of the
Baltic a little earlier this year than usual. That's a little sad, but I had a rare
weather window (48 hours of strong SE wind) which allowed me to skip much of the usual horrible upwind bashing, so I took it, and here I am in Kiel.
I normally pop out the Brunsbuttel end of the Kiel
Canal and either
head down the river to Cuxhaven, or out to Helgoland, or just
head out into the North Sea. This year I'm thinking about going the other way -- up the river to Hamburg.
Worthwhile? Good places to berth? Any good stops in the river along the way?
