Transit Log - EU VAT Question

Hello All,
The standard EU VAT question.
I sailed my boat into Chios from Turkey at the end of October 2022. Since then it has been on the hard and the transit log was stopped. I am a non-EU citizen.

Is there any risk of being liable for VAT if I do not get the boat out of the EU prior to the 18 month trigger? I believed that since the transit log had stopped this did not count toward the expiring time.

Can the boat remain in Chios until such time that we activate the transit log/sail it into Turkey (for example)?
