Yikes! Nordsee ist Mordsee indeed tomorrow. Hope all North Sea sailors are well hunkered down. Those are hurricane force winds. I can't even imagine the sea state that will produce in that place.

It's a tricky place, but that will be in the lee of the land so not nearly as bad as when there's a NWer roaring in from Scotland

North Sea in winter is better than a case of Coronavirus

It's going to wash those nice Irish and Scottish beaches clean with that fetch.

You certainly wouldn't want to cross the N Atlantic this winter, especially with a 16 yr old kid on board

Went down on Friday to check the storm lines still on from the last little blow are okay. Looks like a cats cradle with 7 lines.

Surprisingly it has been a really nice day today, bright sun shine, 10'c and a gentle F4.

I'll let you know what it was like. We're hiding in the lee of the Shetlands. Looking pretty grim for the next few days. Least I'm on a big anchor handling tug and we have a good cook.
