Marina in or near London

Goodevening, in a couple of days we pretend to sail from Holland to London. And from there to south Portugal and beyond.
Any tips on Afordable Marinas in the London area?. We are going to spend a day or two.
Thanks for the info.
Best rgds and fair winds

Re: Marina in or near London

There are a few marinas you can try, St Katherine’s Dock springs to mind, just down river from Tower Bridge

My knowledge is not current, so if you get no answers on this forum, try searching or posting on the Thames Forum on the YBW forum Yachting and Boating World Forums

Good luck

St kats is perfect location if you can get in, or Limehouse down the river a little, very close to the underground network (as is st kats)

Limehouse works well. Cruising Association bar welcomes visiting skippers, and some of the events organised there are open to non-members.

The Cruise planning library (charts and pilot books for the whole world) is the best such resource in existence, but that's only open to members. May be worth doing for you - adds £80 to your wintering costs for a year if you're a Dutch resident. That gives you a quarterly magazine, weekly talks over winter on a variety of topics, and Agnieska's buffets. If you're doing much fitting out there's a formidable list of suppliers which offer discounts to members
