Does anyone have any experience of
boating on any lakes in Southern
Poland?
We are thinking of re-locating to somewhere near Krakow, but before moving I want to make sure there is somewhere where we can at least get out on the
water as we will be hundreds of miles from the coast!
The Vistula (Wisla) looks like it is probably out as other than the locked section through central Krakow I'm told it is too shallow with loads of Sandbanks (although we would have a very
shallow draft boat). The reason the locked section is out, is because there is a 5km/h speed limit and whilst on a sailing
boat I'm fine at that speed (obviously!) on a
RIB it is just too frustrating!
From what I can see there are only a few options:
Czorsztyn (looks good for sailing, but from what I can see powerboats are banned)
Roznowskie (sailing and powerboating allowed from what I can see)
Dobczyckie (sailing and powerboating allowed from what I can see)
Zywiec (sailing and powerboating allowed from what I can see)
Gozalkowice (looks like sailing and powerboating were allowed, but now banned)
Mucharskie (new artificial lake, planned to be completed next year, but the website doesn't really give much information,
Home | Jezioro Mucharskie)
Any help would be appreciated!
