Yes, just insured with them, after recommendation from fellow boater. All good. They limit geographical limits to keep price down, but you can extend for a specific trip by advising them.

Re: Insurance with Anchorage Marine Underwriting

I have never met an insurance company that was not REALLY good at cashing checks.

The ones who are good at WRITING checks are significantly smaller in number...

Thanks for the replies.

It always raises the question when companies are so much cheaper than the competition.

I have found out they are a reputable and reasonable company.

I'm insured with Anchorage, they seem easy to get on with; but I've never had to claim.

Re: Insurance with Anchorage Marine Underwriting

Yes, been with them for four years and been good. The boat got broken into in May and I made first claim for damage and replacements. They handled it professionally and promptly. I lost a bunch of stuff that wasn't covered so was out of pocket but the claim took the sting out of the repair bill. My policy is NSW waters only, but I asked them for extension to qld for winter and they endorsed that without additional premium, though a slightly higher excess.

I would recommend them on my experience.
