Surveyor / broker / buying consultant in Vancouver

Who can recommend any of those?

I'm looking at buying my first boat, for now to live aboard and sail around the coast, with the idea to go offshore in a couple of years when I have enough experience. Obviously will need a surveyor, but could also use an impartial consultant that would help me choose between the endless offers.

I live in Vancouver and have used Kevin Woods as my surveyor for quite a few years. He does live on Vancouver Island but comes into Vancouver regularly.
