The three Grenadian prisoners who escaped from police custody on the Southern Caribbean island on February 18 and made their way to St. Vincent by hijacking the catamaran yacht “Simplicity” are now being investigated after the vessel’s owners are believed to be dead.

Knew them as well. Met them in Newport in 2020, then a year later in Marsh Harbor. Great people. Had dinner on their boat.

There has been a GoFundMe set up by a friend of the family for funeral arrangements and costs associated with recovery of the vessel.

This is a very sad story indeed.
A couple from Virginia USA is feared dead after 3 escaped prisoners stole their yacht Simplicity Granada. The prisoners were recaptured in St. Vincent and the Grenadines several days later.
