All these post IRMA videos are heartbreaking.....really terrible.

We spent a week in Nanny Cay last October ....hard to see the devastation. Same with all the other places we visited during our last 3 weeks in the BVI. So many places destroyed, so many lives negatively affected. Thank goodness the devastation is just property vs lives lost.

How about you? Aren't you in St Martin?

Re: Nanny Cay boatyard H.IRMA

Between 1991 and 2002 my boat, Born Free, survived five -- yes five -- hurricanes at Nanny Cay with winds exceeding 100 knots in the marina. Virtually no damage to my boat at all (it was in the water at Johnny's dock), and most boats were OK as well. Some in the yard were damaged and fell over on one another.

However, overall damage to Nanny Cay was nowhere near what is recorded in these drone shots. Simply unbelievable. My thoughts and sympathies go out to all my friends there, and those whose boats were there as well.

s/v Born Free (currently lying Rockland ME)

Adam Dell The guy who took the video has removed it. I don't know why, perhaps litigation threats, but someone reposted it here:

There is another one here:
