In the Heart of the Ocean a 44' mono sinks after whale strike

Anyone know the make of the boat? 44', monohull named Raindancer, Rick Rodriguez owner/Capitan. All 3 crew plus Capitan were rescued 10 hours after the whale strike caused the boat to sink. The story was on NBC Nightly News on 22 March.

They were buddy boating from Galapagos to the Marquesas. The accident is in the same general area where the whaler Essex was rammed and sunk by a sperm whale.

Good they had a raft , EPIRB and a sat phone. And a boat that was 35 miles away. His buddy boat was 180 miles behind him.
