Would that not be the case, the glacier would have still be there. In that case there would have been no Tsunami, because the landslide would have either just not happened as the glacier supported the rocks, or if the rocks would still have fallen, they would have gone into the glacier.

So it would have been more catastrophic in either the Minoan, Roman or Medieval warm periods as it was hotter then than now in the ice core results but amazingly C02 levels according to the IPCC and new age climate scientists were stable around 280 ppm for the last 10,000 years and nearly the same in the so called Little Ice Age. So the temperature varied more then than in the last 250 years but the C02 has risen dramatically.

Why don't we go with Stephen Schneiders C02 results in the early seventies That, Man made C02 from burning fossil fuels was cooling the planet.
