Cape Dory Intrepid 9M sailboat

"RIP TIDE," a 1979 Intrepid 9M features Cape Dory quality construction, but with a "modern" fin keel and skeg-hung rudder design. This is a great small cruising sailboat. She is well-equipped, with recent sails, rigging, and other improvements:

Mainsail new in 2013 (FX Sails), full battens and 3 reefs
135% Genoa new in 2016 (Pope Sails)
91% #3 working Jib, new in 2014 (Precision Sails)
145% Genoa, older (*)
Spinnaker, older but unused, small (*)

Hood ProFurl Jib Reefing, continuous line.
Main and Jib Halyards, new 2016, 7/16" line

The comfortable cockpit features Binnacle wheel steering and a folding teak cockpit table and rear pulpit corner seats. There is a stern boarding ladder that folds down from the stern pulpit (which can be released by a person in the water), plus a folding step mounted to the starboard side of the hall along with an extra stanchion to assist boarding from a dinghy or dock. The lifelines and hardware are new as of 2014. A folding canvas dodger (rebuilt 2015) over the compainionway shields the forward end of the cockpit from the weather.

25# "Delta"-style non-hinged plow anchor (on bow roller)

12# Danforth anchor (mounted to stern rail)
Two 250-foot nylon anchor rodes with 3/8" chain
An Anchor Sentinel (rode rider) and two 13# kellet weights.
5' mooring pick-up buoy

The cabin features berths for five, including two settees, and a port-side quarter berth (which converts to a navigation station) in the main salon, and a twin V-berth in a separate cabin forward. The galley includes a Kenyon alcohol stove, a stainless steel sink, and a medium-sized ice box. There is a 6-gallon Raritan water heater. There are 2 solar powered ventilators (2014) as well as 8 opening ports and 2 hatches, in addition to the main companionway, all with screens, providing plenty of light and ventilation below. The cabin also features a West Marine FM radio with four speakers, and there are five electric light fixtures in the main salon, two in the forward cabin, and one in the head compartment. The head is plumbed to a holding tank, with a locking seacock for overboard discharge, and a hand pump for emptying the holding tank offshore, as well as a deck-level pumpout.












There is a Yanmar 20GM2F (freshwater cooled) diesel auxiliary engine, with about 800 hours on the meter.
Group 27 Marine Battery (new 2018)
A 12"x 23" flexible solar panel helps keep the battery topped up.
