48'-54' cruiser/liveaboard shoal draft

Looking for a 48' - 54' sailboat to liveaboard and start out on with short cruises.

draft under 7'
headroom to accommodate 6'3"
prefer traditional / slab main

In good condition, not so much a project boat
Most close contenders so far have been in the $225K-$325K range

Jeanneau 54DS / Taswell 49 / Outbound 46 / Hylas 54

Pickup location preferably East Coast US/Americas / Caribbean / Europe

Thanks.

Right.

Boat in Oxnard now, a year now. Got mast rebuilt and repainted, along with boot and sheer stipe, and new canvas. Good boat mover...$28K for transport alone.

About 300 phone calls I guess between both yards, the one shipper and the two rigging crews.

Getting new Lifeline AGMs, just about back to normal.

Water is clear, killer whales have set up shop directly offshore so many sea lions in the harbor proper, in spurts in and out. Port Hueneme next door.

If you are ever out here, we can get together.

I work on Vandenberg AFB. Last night the DART mission (Space-X) left here at 10:22 PM local.

Re: 48'-54' cruiser/liveaboard shoal draft

Thank you for the replies....

Vanuatu is a bit far for me, but the boat sounds solid!...trying to keep it within Maine to Columbia, or WA to Mexico.

Yes, a Hylas for $325 would be great! If the right boat presents itself, there is always a way...

The OC48 is nice, but I am trying to keep having an owners version interior as a hard must for the boat.

I have a 49ft overall Atlas Roger motorsailor. Very roomy and comfortable. 5.5 ft draft.
Vessel in good shape, but needs fuel injection pump, and some wiring to update electronics.
