We are curious about this partnership offer. My wife and I had been in discussion with another couple to purchase an FP Helia in Loreto MX but it did not work out. I was just wasting some time looking through this forum when I came across your post. We currently live in Central Oregon and travel to the Sea of Cortez to sail at least once a year but now that we are both retired we were looking for more sail time. The Caribbean is a bit harder for us to get to, but not out of the question. That is where we have done most of our sailing in the past.
A bit about us: I am an architect and my wife is a floral designer and artist. I grew up sailing in New England and then moved out west to the mountains. My sailing then became mostly charters that included the Caribbean, Pudget Sound, Mexico and Tahiti. We were considering purchasing our own 45 ft cat in 2021 but the pandemic unfortunately got in our way and buying a boat just got ridiculously hard and expensive. Our budget at the moment is >$500,000. It would be interesting to see how you plan to structure this partnership given that your price is almost exactly 1/3 of the cost of a new 2024 Elba. Do you have a complete annual cost breakdown and usage schedule? How does it work with you living onboard? We have never partnered with anyone before so this is all new to us.
