Any Leopard 46 Owners Out There?

I just spent a lot of time aboard both the Lagoon 440 and the Moorings 4600. One thing struck me with both boats however would be a huge issue for me on the Lagoon and somewhat of a issue on the Leopard. The cockpit where you spend most of your time has zero ventilation on the Lagoon and restricted ventilation on the Moorings/Leopard 4600. The conventional helm station allows for full ventilation when the dodger is unzipped on on most cats. This was a huge downside to me that I was not aware of before until spending a bunch of time at anchor on both boats. The original 4600 had a ventilation slot that could be opened and closed however it appears this has been deleted on all the newer productions models.
With a Voyage 500 and a Lagoon 440 rafted together everyone was on the Voyage boat because the cockpit was so much cooler.

I must admit we don't have a problem with ventilation in the cockpit on the L46. We tend to open up all the saloon doors, open the two roof hatches in the saloon plus the 3 front facing hatches behind the mast, there is also one hatch above the cockpit table. With all of these open and the breeze coming down from the helm area we find it quite comfortable.

We did not find heat build up a problem in the cockpit. We just opened up all the hatches. If you are at anchor and you want addtional flow you put the back and side of the skippers seat which funnels even more air into the cockpit. We were in Croatia and it was 35 deg plus.

The L46 was not as bad as the Lagoon. It did get some air coming down from the helm station. When making a direct comparison however in hot conditions between these designs and a more conventional layout the cockpits were far cooler on the conventional boats. The Lagoon was just flat out horrible in the Caribbean in Oct. I suppose you adapt and get used to it but the lack of any breeze in the cockpit is a big downside to me.
