Prices in water hull cleaning by diver (med and carribean) ?
Hi,
out of curiosity, what net rates do you typically pay a diver in the med or carribean for hull cleaning.
Do you pay a fixed sum?
Per hour?
Per boat type?
Per length?
Per surface area?
Is there typically a premium for very fouled bottoms?
How do you find your diver?

Currently in Greece around €80 to 100 for 11metres

Thanks. Keep it coming. How are multihulls charged? Total length of both hulls?

1.- I've seen hull cleaning rates substantially higher than $2/foot in the Keys
2.- Typically a multihull is charged by LOA but at a higher rate than a monohull

From what I’ve seen in the Keys, $2-$2.50 per ft with no extra for being a catamaran.
My wife and I wipe down the bottom of our 40’ catamaran about every 2 weeks, takes us about 15 minutes and no need for dive gear.

In Annapolis, I'm paying ~$3.30/ft plus a $20 equipment fee per dive.

Franziska if Boatman61 is happy to strut around the cockpit in Speedos I wouldn't feel shy about wearing a bikini.
Cheers

Not the requested waters, but in Fastbottom's backyard (N. California) one of his competitors charges about US$3.50/ft for monohulls and $4.25/ft for cats.
