Storm 27.77in Barometric

Just clicking around, looking at how long before it dries out enough to run the tractor and noticed this big storm about halfway between NA and the British Isles.

27.7 was about the same as Hurricane Florence at it's peak intensity, 150 mph.

Don't know if the velocities on Windy.com are real or models, nonetheless, it's a big, intense system.

Appears to be deepening and moving NE. At least 40 knot winds cover an area about 1200 miles across, which means about a million square miles are involved.

Wonder how that compares to the energy output in a cat 4 or 5 hurricane?

Similar storm last weekend in NW Europe. Added about .5 metre to HW with all that wind blowing water across the Atlantic plus the low pressure in the storm. Peered over the back garden fence at HW, but we were still a couple of feet above HW so no flooding.

Been a very wet windy winter so far this side of the Atlantic and it started in August

I have a new big solar panel to put on the arch, think I will give it a miss this weekend.
