To stay with Iridium, what about Vesselink 200 or 700 ?

Re: iridium Go cost, I managed to get by without an external antenna. It generally worked from shelf above the nav seat. Occasionally I would need to sit it up on the deck under the dodger for longer downloads. In the US that appears to be about $800 today. Still nearly 2x off when I bought mine in 2018.

We use predict wind, it has weather routing and departure planning which is quite helpful
