We just bought our circa 2000 boat and it has a Plow, but everyone I've talked to who uses a Mantus swears by them. Better holding equals better sleeping and confidence that our boat will stay put. And honestly- they look cool.

Been reading a lot about the possibility of breaking the connection between anchor and chain. The swivel guard is a great solution for this.

I'm digging the fact Mantus has a portable compressor. I had no idea. We intend to do long range cruising and I'd given up on compressors due to the cost and size. Whatever brand that I researched, it seemed like we'd have to mount it in the engine room which made me concerned about taking in bad air. This compressor will allow me to fill tanks in a location where I know I've got clean air... with added benefit of no cost installation. Not to mention bringing it on a buddies boat if needed.

I don't have a good excuse to need the smaller tank and harness- They just look like fun, but also pretty easy to use when it's just a job of hopping over the side to check on something. But mostly-Just for fun.
