Yanmar 3YM20 Oil Pressure Alarm with B Engine Panel

I have 2 Batteries one Starter one House. The problem is that any switch on the panel on the the house bank when switched on causes the oil pressure alarm to activate on the engine panel.

The switches for everything on the House bank main switch panel have all been re - soldered and duff diodes have been replaced.

With all House switches off the engine starts normally with the oil alarm on then turns off when the engine fires as it should.

The engine and its ancillaries has only done 197 hours since new.

There is more I could tell you but I don't want to confuse the issue with things that might be not be relevant.

So please ask me your questions.

Your suggestions will be gratefully received.

If the engine is running do the house switches activate the alarm?

Thank you for your reply Sabray.
I can't remember if they do.
We will try that tomorrow when We go to check on the boat.
The Lady Admiral will check on that for me, I am not allowed on board yet until I have healed up. I have not personally been on board for a month I ripped both legs open on jagged concrete when i slipped on the edge of the quay before tumbling into the drink. Luckily I had lowered the platform ladder the day before.

Dear Sabray,
Thank you for your input
Yes they do and after further delving. I found a problem the oil pressure switch which was abnormal it was closed when the engine was running so its a new pressure switch then see if it is cured or there is another problem. Thanks again Mike.

Mine got cut the beginning of this month. Mylegs are pretty bad but are beginning to heal after becoming infected, I bet walking is a problem now for you, You need some sort of beach shoes especially if your in the med, jelly fish, cucumbers, sea urchins, barnacles, mussels abound besides tourist rubbish thrown in the water,
