Wiring color standard

My boat is a Waquiez built 1990s vintage yacht with a Perkins 4.108 engine.

I am working on the engine wiring harness, and want to document whats there. Most things on this boat I have found to be to a high standard - but I do not understand the color code used.

Does anyone recognize this:

1. Brown +12v (relatively thick wire)
2. Brown w/ red strip
3. Brown red stripe
4. Red
5. White brown strip
6. White grey stripe
7. Brown yellow stripe
8. Green
9. Black -ve
10 White red stripe
(most all these wires go from a small bus bar to the ignition / engine alarms. Gauges are largely seperate)

The thick brown one goes to pole 1 of a Lucas 128SA. It carries 12v as soon as I turn start batt on. I think the other brown wire might go to starter solenoid.

But do these colors correspond to some old standard?
