Sunpower 410W Solar Panel

I live the the New York area and want to buy a Sunpower 410 W solar panel. However, the quoted shipping cost to get it to me from the west coast is about $260. Is there anyone in the Tri-state area who would be interested in buying one of these panels at the same time? Apparently the shipping cost would be the same for two or three panels as for one. We could share the shipping cost.

Re: Sunpower 410W Solar Panel

My understanding is that Sunpower requires a factory approved vendor to actually install the panels.

Aloha! SunPower has an Authorized Dealer network and this is true for any residential or commercial solar install, essentially the SunPower dealer is also the installer who will put the solar panels on your roof.

However, there are exceptions and we're a SunPower Authorized Dealer allowed to sell panels to customers with mobile applications eg. boats, RVs, tiny homes etc. We're required to discuss all fixed frame installs, make sure everything looks good and there is a good understanding of what's involved. Many people will use the services of a local marine electrician to help with the install because it needs more consideration. The fixed frame panels are powerful (higher voltages) and are much larger & heavier (40lbs each) so need to be supported well.
