Which induction cooktop?

Hi all,

Curious which induction cooktops you are using. I’d like to find something that will gimbal and want to have the ability to hold pots on the stove in a seaway.

Currently we have a classic propane 3 burner/oven unit.

Thanks!

Re: Which induction cooktop?

AFAIK there are no marine induction hobs with integrated gimbals. But it shouldn’t be all that hard to fabricate a gimballed tray onto or into which you place/install an induction hob.

I’ve seen plenty of people place a portable one or two burner induction hob on top of their existing gimballed stove. That’s a good option if you don’t want to fully convert your galley to electric.

A silicone sheet will stop pots and pans from sliding around. https://www.chefscomplements.co.nz/b...ector-3-sizes/. You can also get individual pot sized silicone sheets for pretty cheap on Amazon.
