Stupid Question on Reversing Connection on a 12V Battery

High really quick question that I'm sure will be obvious to someone but, if I reversed the + and - connections to my mast lights will that cause any damage to my battery (LiFePO4), or lights? Background below!

I am currently working on rewiring my boat but didn't label the wires coming down from the mast. There are four, a yellow, green, white/grey, and orange. I think the yellow is for ground but it's not super clear to me and I didn't label these when taking things apart last fall. Just don't want to cause any damage to my batteries or devices. My boat is a 1989 Catalina 27 if the specifics help anyone.

Re: Stupid Question on Reversing Connection on a 12V Battery

Is the mast up now?
What lights do you have? mast(a)head,tri-lite?,anchor,deck flood, etc?
Are the lights LED or incandescent bulbs?

Mast is up (hoping to avoid going up)
Anchor Light, Deck Light, and Steaming Light
I don't actually know if they are LED or incandescent

Re: Stupid Question on Reversing Connection on a 12V Battery

Incandescent will work just fine if polarity is reversed and no battery damage.

LED's will very likely not work at all and no battery damage.

Yes, this assumes that lights are wired (positive and negative) directly to the battery, with no contact with mast, etc.

Re: Stupid Question on Reversing Connection on a 12V Battery

Assume led
Assume not conn.to mast.
Choose one wire for neg. Att neg lead of vom to it. Set ohms. Touch pos meter lead to each other wire in turn. Correct neg will show some continuity to other 3 wires.Repeat until you find neg wire.
Disconn. Meter. Apply neg 12v to neg
Apply pos 12v to each other wire in turn and see what lites. Label them.
