Sterling 60 amp temp wiring question

Just installed the Sterling 60 amp for four us battery fla. it seems like the temperature wire is important for the longevity of the batteries. The wire that came with the charger is too short too hook up to the batteries. Can I splice a link of wire or is it a special wire. I tried to find a longer one to buy from Sterling but failed to find it. I wanted to ask y’all this question before trying harder to find a longer temp sensor wire. Thanks.
