Question about my new GC2 batteries from Sams

Today I just purchased two Duracell GC2's from Sams Club they are the 6volt batteries and need to be connected together to get 12volts.

I know I need to wire them in series. So this is simply connecting one of the positive poles to the other's negative pole and your done? Leaving one negative and one positive of the two not connected to one another. Just double checking here.

These batteries are said to have about 220 amp hours in 6v, so doesn't that mean when I connect them together in series I will have a 12v bank with a total of 220 amp hours?

Also, when connecting these two 6v batteries to my battery selector switch what would be the best way to do this? As in which poles should I come off of to my switch?

Sorry for these somewhat obvious questions but I am just double checking what I have been reading and reading......

Thank y'all!!!!

You've got it. In the simplest installation, the red + wire on the left goes to the switch, and other + wires run from there. The black - wire on the right goes to a bus bar to which all other - wires connect.

Ok cool, so I dont have to run the black negative wire to my switch? Just to my bus bar?

I could also run it to the bus bar to though correct?
