Navigation Lights Switches

Hi,

We are going to tidy up the DC control panel.

The navigation lights are controlled by a circuit breaker, but then there is another up/down two pole switch which lets you select Masthead navs, or Deck navs.

This was good in so far as you could not have both deck and nav turned on - but it did mean the selection switch was off the main DC panel, and it wasn't very tidy.

How is yours wired?

Re: Navigation Lights Switches

Mine has a breaker for Nav Lights and then a rotary switch to select which (power, sail, anchor, tricolor...). Its a custom panel and a nice clean installation. Even has a line drawing of the boat etched into the panel and fancy little colored LEDs to indicate which group you have selected.

Yeah thats the sort of thing I was looking for. I was hoping to use BEP panels for DC bus but I dont think they have a switch which is similar to what you showed. Might have to be something custom.

The rotary switch itself is off the shelf and simple to mount to a panel. If you have enough real estate open on the panel, or nearby, then just have a plate etched (or the panel itself) for labeling.
