Re: Fluke Meter Selection Help

We do marine refrigeration and HVAC, boats only, I have a 325 and a 116/62 MAX kit.
They do pretty much everything I need.
They get used everyday, in every concievable situation, from a 30 foot day sailor, to a 230 foot tri level super yacht, heck, it even works on race cars too!
Start with the 325.
You will never need another.

Fluke 87's go for $300-$500

I buy the cheap ones, but check them against my calibrated Fluke at work.

Re: Fluke Meter Selection Help

A cheap meter off e-bay or amazon is fine. A less than $100 Fluke is better. You don't need to measure amps. Precision isn't necessary.

Re: Fluke Meter Selection Help

The specs are a little confusing, because it looks like they combine specs for several different models. You need to click on the AC/DC model -- it costs $46, not $30. Thanks for pointing that out!
