Like Matt said they are super expensive. We tinkered with the idea of converting our Lagoon 380 to electric propulsion when we repowered last year. DC 48v unit was close to $25k and it is just a Volvo D1-30 with a DC generator.

Yep, A$30k for a 12kW locally made one (good quality, milspec). Which is around US$20k. Not installed, not shipped.
