Hello everybody. What is the ($) smart way to install rigid solar panels on the hardtop "roof" of a Leopard catamaran?

Re: Smart way to install rigid solar panels on hard bimini

IDK if there is a smart way but just make sure you leave an air gap between the bottom of the panel and top of bimini. 3/4" should do it.

On my homebuilt hardtop made from Carbon Core panels I will overdrill the mounting holes and fill with epoxy, then drill mounting holes through and use cap nuts on the bottom. Another alternative would be to use FR4/G10 epoxied to the underside then drill/tap threads into that and not pierce the G10. That way even if water got in it's never going to drip.
