Amp Hour Question

Does anyone know the amp hours of an Exide 4D Com-4d-P?
From what I can tell, it is 160 but I only found it on one web site and I need to be sure. I just installed a TriMetric TM 2025 and I need to be sure what the amp hours are.
Thanks

Re: Amp Hour Question

160 amp hours is about right. But these batteries are very likely not true deep cycle. Battery suppliers slap labels on that might say deep cycle, but if the amphour capacity isn't marked on them, that is a pretty good clue that they are not.

Re: Amp Hour Question

It is not a deep cycle battery. That is why it lists cranking amps here http://oeprts.com/Battery_PDF/Exide%20Batteries.pdf
while it doesn't list cranking amps for the true deep cycle batteries like the 6 volt golf carts on the same Exide list.

Re: Amp Hour Question

Thanks for the help, I am pretty sure they are truck batteries. The PO put them in when I bought the boat.
So far they have not given me any problems.for now I guess I will use 160 amp hours.
