Re: When to replace thru hulls??

Gee we have 30+ yr old thru hulls and sea cocks, all groco bronze, all have been lubed, and serviced at every haul out. And all are still perfect! Open and close with little effort, and don't leak a drop when the hose's are removed to replace them ! Why anyone would wish to use anything else, or anything more expensive I can't really understand! Some old style stuff is still better then most! And to me seacocks and thru hulls are not the place to try new stuff out, just because it's "Da new Stuff" LOL if ya have the room, go with the tryed and true good old bronze !! Just my 2 cents
