Tables stuck...

We have a 2008 420 and we can't get the legs on either table to come loose. Just got her and would love to have dinner in the cockpit. Is there a trick we don't know? We are stumped since during sea trails the tables were swapped...
Any help is appreciated!

Re: Tables stuck...

They just push in. I am guessing that there is a bit of corrosion holding them fast, they just pull straight up. When you get them out clean them up and lubricate them. I had to resort to a large plumbers wrench and heat gun to get them to move.

Thanks! I have a heat gun in my craft supplies...it is surprising how many of those are turning out as multi purpose tools!

Re: Tables stuck...

They stick with corrosion. I wouldn't use a heat gun as they have a vinyl type of finish. I found banging and brute force eventually works. After they are out use some grease. Pulling them out from time to time helps avoid the problem.

PB blaster and heat and allow to cool a few times, using a rubber mallet from time to time to loosen things up? Not so much heat as to burn your hand of course, but I've heated things like this before and cooled with ice to have the just come loose

Re: Tables stuck...

I'd say spray some WD40 around the base of the tubes and then wiggle them around in a circle or tap with a hammer to loosen them up so they pop out. They likely just haven't been pulled out for quite a while are corroded as mentioned by others.
