Dont get me started on the build structure.
There needs to be another term for these things other than Catamaran it is embarrasing.

Just being snide really. Its been that kind of day. Comments like his are trolls aiming to start flame wars of some kind or other. Not looking for a reaction, but expecting several !. And yes, I admit, not exactly insightfull..

Popcorn Emoji, to me at least, is a short way of saying that. "Troll Alert: Get out the popcorn and watch the show, this thread is about to disintegrate".

I just went to the Newport Boat Show to visit the Lagoon 40 that seems very nice cozy well-built sturdy , Hulls were a little narrow in the hallway but it was fine. I would be very happy with one

Cockpit is great. Salon really nice. Berths nice. SA/D ratio not great for winds under 15 kts. Must have a gennaker/code0. Other big issue for me is that the boom overhangs the hardtop by 3 to 4'! If your reefing lines get hung up on the back of the boom, which happens frequently, if you need to get to the topping lift, clew of sail, just not possible easily and safely while under way. Need to move boom to edge of traveller so it is diagonal and on corner or hardtop.

Boat will be great in carib where winds are almost always > 15. Not sure about it for me.
