Lagoon 400 - aft cabin ceiling panel removal

I need to remove my aft cabin ceiling panels from the owners side of a 2010 Lagoon 400.

Any suggestions on which panel I should tackle first & which side of this panel is the velcro holding panel to ceiling?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions....

Thanks for photos.

Are all panels scalloped like that & which one did you remove first?

The pictures are from the port hull
Not sure which panel comes out first.
Take the screws out from both sides and the one that comes out is the one.
It was that easy on the guest side so it should be the same on the owners side I would think.
The system is first rate and makes the headliner problem go away.
Loving my Lagoon

Re: Lagoon 400 - aft cabin ceiling panel removal

Thanks for your help. Looks like my 400 is different to your 400S2 - I don't have any screws holding ceiling panels up.

If anyone has taken 400 panels out, your input would be appreciated.

Thanks Brett

If you find any screws you need to make sure they go back in the same way or you will create other issues...

You are right
The S2 is very different
I just had a look at a 400 and there is nothing on the interior that is the same, everything is totally different,

Re: Lagoon 400 - aft cabin ceiling panel removal

Original 400 ceiling panels are held in place using a " tongue & groove system". The tongue is inserted into the previous panels groove & this panel is screwed to ceiling, thus providing a groove for next panel. The last panel (first one to remove) doesn't need a groove & is held in place by Velcro. Note this first panel to remove is sometimes on the outboard side of hull & sometimes on inboard side.

Hope these photos add clarity to my description.
