Sailing from Caribbean to Norway April 2013

Buying a steel sailboat in the Caribbean or Florida, us around December 2012.

Need one or two persons to sail her home to Norway with me where she will spend the winter being rebuilt before she goes out to several expeditions.

As crew on this trip you will be free to join up the boat at any time in the future.

This trip will be back to basic but all needed safety equipment will be there (life raft, survival suits and so on)

We will take good time and not stress her.

It will be either me, you and one more or you, me and Mr. Autopilot or windvane.

If you are interested, let me know.

Contact by pm nearer the date. Southampton UK to Norway would be great.

Re: Sailing from Caribbean to Norway. April 2013

Only for the whole way.

No pay.

Size will be 38 - 45 or there about.

There was this Polish guy who messaged me. I lost your mail by mistake. You had a website.

Please contact me again. I think you fit my style.

Please remember this: The boat we will sail to Norway will not be ship shape. She will be quick fixed to be able to sail to Norway.

Also, sailing with me is not exactly vacation. I demand the boat clean and prepared all the time and there are no such thing as sorry Captain, I can`t do it.

I do not run a blue water boat, I run an expedition boat and the sailing is not the same.

Still interested? Send me a PMS with contact information. I will keep this and send all interested a mail in December/January when I go down to buy the boat.

You will be on camera so this must not be an issue.

Re: Sailing from Caribbean to Norway. April 2013

Hey

My name is Melissa, 25, from Vancouver Canada. My boyfriend Logan and I have had an interesting introduction to the sailing world in the last year and we are looking for an opportunity for it to continue. With no sailing experience and barely any savings left after traveling South America, we decided to buy a Cal 34 sailboat in Colombia in April 2012. For the last 5 months we were living on the boat and doing short trips to start learning and teaching ourselves. Once almost out of money, we hired a captain and sailed from Colombia-Panama and back. We took backpackers both ways to try and make a bit of cash so we could continue on our sailing dream. Unfortunately the brand new motor broke on our journey and with no money left we ended up selling the boat. During our five months at sea we both fell in love with the sailing world. At times it was hard, stressful and scary to say the least, but the amazing moments and beautiful people stole our hearts.

We are now back in Canada working and saving to hopefully sail away from the harbour once again. We are hoping to find a paid position but are looking into any great opportunity that comes our way. We would love to hear from you if you are interested. If not we wish you calm seas, perfect winds, and safe passages.

Explore. Dream. Discover

Melissa & Logan

Really, Captain Bligh Is making demands on how his unpaid crew will conduct themselves on his less than ready non existent boat and there's people responding.

Ah well....he'll get what he pays for, I expect!!

Interestingly, I did the same trip a couple of years ago on exactly the same sort of boat. Me, crew and autopilot.....for about 2 days then it was just me and crew!! Sh@t happens! (but the owner was a great guy, and still a friend!)
