Mature Woman Sought

I'm seeking a mature woman as a companion to join me in my sailboat for a cruise to the pacific islands (and beyond?), to share the experiences and the lifestyle. I'm a retired sociologist/schoolteacher/lawyer, educated and considerate. If you are interested please contact me for further information or references.

May be useful to describe the vessel unless it is 25ft.

Re: Mature Woman Sought

Downunder,
There's also a ship's cat with an impressive record. He is a Norwegian Forest Cat. He has flown over 15000 miles - up the centre of the South Atlantic into Atlanta, Georgia and from there to LAX. He has crossed the Mohave and Sonora Deserts twice. He has sailed from LA to La Paz, Mexico. His ambition is to be ship's cat on the Spanish Main - but he's going to have to settle for Tahiti and beyond. He seeks an affectionate Mistress. His name is Thomas.

Hi Solo, it looks like you have submitted other crew wanted posts in the past. Have you had others on your boat? Are the costs covered, or is there some partial expense to be shared? Maye you can post more information about & your boat?

Re: Mature Woman Sought

Sparky,
Some of what you ask is clearly a matter for private discussion. You are not responding to the substance of my thread but merely posting an uncalled for comment. I question your right to do so. I'm not sure how much of the information that you ask for it is either tasteful or ethical to publish. I'm going to give the bare bones, because I don't want to leave the impression that I have anything to hide or to have people pick up on what is clearly unfounded innuendo in your comment. I have had a Mature Couple aboard who sailed with me for a while and then came back later to do so again. They are on board now, as I type and are going back to their own boat soon. They came for experience and to learn and I believe that they have done that. I had another crew specifically for a short term trip from one place to another.
This particular exchange is now closed.

Re: Mature Woman Sought

Sorry Solo, I asked 3 questions! One about past crew, one about future expenses and one about your boat. No offense intended.

Re: Mature Woman Sought

lolarose,
Thanks for your enquiry. I'm 64. I think I look about 50 - but perhaps that is a dangerous comment to make!
My use of the word "mature" is intended merely to let people know that I'm looking for someone out of their teens. I'm looking for a really good friend. I don't mind much about the age.
I have a very good male friend who "ran away to sea" at the age of 80. He sails a 40ft sailboat singlehanded with great competence.
I don't know if I've answered your question. I'm concious of having "ducked the issue" slightly? Do you want me to have another go?

Re: Mature Woman Sought

i am somewhat mature-ish and have own boat--i hope you have good fortune finding someone with whom to sail.

oh, i own a formosa--i guess that rules out maturity, as i will achieve that status after my boat is finished in her refit......
