Beautiful boat! I love the Formosa's....Out of my range though....unless I sold my house and lived on her full time. I've got 15 years left on my mortgage....so if you haven't sold it in 15 years.....let's talk....

Beautiful boat, good luck with the sale.

I always like it when the ad says how many boat hooks you get!

I love these boats! My girl and I are looking at a repo Beneteau 40 ft. We both love the looks and the room of the Formosa 51 but not sure if us newbs could handle that 51' beast. Also very curious if a standard 20% down and finance would work or if it's a cash only deal. Anyone have any info on financing these boats. Was also wondering if you buy a live aboard in Washington State if you have to pay sales tax??? I am sure you do, but it seems crazy to pay sales tax on your residence. Actually, would probably have to move to Oregon anyway cuz the liveaboard marina's in the couv seem to be slim!

Any who, very nice boat!

I could be wrong (I was once before ) but I doubt it.

- 20% financing - No, not on a used 33 year old boat.

- Sales tax - Yes, they don't care how you used it.

Haha, ya i bet i prolly could do that, but my heart really is in finding Wind Rose. My dads boat he sold only a few years ago...A novice who knew nothing about her or sailing bought her cause his wife did not want him to buy a harley, I anticipate it coming back on the market someday. I will continue lurking in the forums and sailing websites for her till then. Besides i got my work cut out for me to learn how to sail good and proper. I dont really think a formosa is a boat one should learn on..... I would probably Break her and the formosas are not cheap to fix...no boat really is.
I still cant help but admire the beauties you Formosa owners got. They to me are THE singular most beautiful ship, they really shine underway.
Jack Tar, I showed yours to my dad...... he had a 1975 51' CT in the late 70s, He told me he never say one as beautiful as yours...if he were mobile he would buy it in a heartbeat.

The Formosa does look appropriate for that purpose. Sounds like fun!
