used LiFePO4 battery cells

If anyone needs a good deal on used cells, I have these:

16 pcs - CALB SE180AH made in 2012

30 pcs - Thundersky TS160AH - made in 2009

I tested cells for remaining capacity, CALBs are at 150AH minimum and TS are at 110AH

These still have a few years of life in them if used at fraction of C rate, which is perfect for house banks, solar banks, etc.

Its an opportunity to get in a Lithium game at a low price.

I will not ship, its too much hassle, so local pickup in Tampa area only.
Asking $.50/AH for actual AH capacity, so $75 for CALB cells and $55 for TS cells.
Will consider all reasonable offers.

Re: used LiFePO4 battery cells

It's very interesting to see real world figures for loss of capacity over time - as the number of cycles would be my major consideration for buying Li cells instead of lead/gel.

But your CALB SE180AH 2012 cells are at 85% in 3 years = roughly 1095 days:
I see the advertised figures for 3000-5000 cycles(at 50%DOD) to 85% cell capacity which would mean you would have had to cycle all the cells three times a day(at best) - obviously off the mark?

Are those cycle figures(3-5K @ 50% DOD) just marketing?
Thanks - and sorry for the Hijack.

Few points to make in response to your observations:
1. My measurement was conservative, I stated "usable" capacity, not "full" capacity. Full capacity would likely be around 90% of original. I never take my cells to 100% DOD, even for measurements.
2. Marketing claims are at ideal temp 25C and at 1C or less discharge rate. Higher temps and high discharge rates effect the lifecycle. My cells were used in EV where 3C rate is not uncommon for accelerations. In fractional C rate application like housebank your cell lifecycle should be a lot higher. This is why there will be a huge market for batteries coming from EVs and getting a 2nd life in an energy storage applications, which is precisely what happened to my cells.
3. Prolonged exposure to ambient temps above 40C-50C will certainly shorten lifecycle of cells. This is why many Nissan Leaf owners in Arizona are not happy. This probably contributed to a few % points in my case as I drive around Tampa FL, but I never leave my car to bake in the sun.

Overall, these cells are excellent for housebanks, will provide years of service at a fraction of the cost of new cells.

Re: used LiFePO4 battery cells

I'm interested, but I am still planning my bank setup. Still need to write a diagram down of what I need sans batteries.

Do you have some measurements/dimensions of the cells? Groups?
